Late check-outs can be accommodated to 2 PM based on availability for a 30% fee.

Cancellation Policies

A partial charge of the first night’s stay will be processed if reservation is cancelled within 3 days of arrival.

Pricing and Payment

All guest rooms and dorm bed rates are nightly and based on occupancies described in the room descriptions visible when booking. Apart from shared dorm rooms, all room rates include at least double occupancies (2 adults). Shared dorm room rates are for (1) twin bed for (1) individual over the age of 18. Taxes and fees are subject to change, are not displayed in the room rate, and will be applied to the total booking amount at checkout. We do not accept 3rd party payment. Credit or Debit cards used for reservation booking payment must belong to at least one of the guests staying in the party.

Shared Dorm Room Policy

Shared dorm room beds are designed for (1) individual and no more than (1) person may occupy any single dorm room bed at any time. No individuals (14) years or younger may stay in the shared dorm rooms under any circumstance. Individuals between the ages of 15 and 18 years old may stay in the shared dorm rooms provided that they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. No pets are allowed in shared dorm rooms with the exception of service animals. Maximum stay in a shared bunkroom is (14) nights. Please be aware that housekeeping hours are between 10 AM and 4 PM, therefore housekeepers may be in the room tidying up during that time. Bed selection occurs upon arrival. Shared dorm rooms offer (1) in room locker per person on a first come first serve basis. Please adhere to all policies in the below locker policy. Outside visitors are not allowed in the shared dorm rooms at any time. Food and drink are not allowed in the shared dorm areas, except for water in a closed container. Preparation of food in our dorm rooms by any type of cooking appliance is prohibited. We have a full community kitchen for our guests to use on the first level next to the bar. The Block Hotel & Commons is not responsible in any way for lost, stolen or damaged items in the dorm rooms, bathrooms, community kitchen or any other public space. Dorm room guests must be a traveler with residency 30 miles outside of Summit County limits with valid ID. The Block Hotel & Commons reserves the right to ask for proof of onward travel.

If there should be any incident caused by a guest at any time resulting in financial losses or incurrences of The Block Hotel & Commons, the guest will be responsible for these fees, payments, and all costs that are incurred.

Minors and Children

Individuals under 18 years old must be always accompanied by a parent or legal guardian while on the premises.

Parking

Parking is limited and on a first come first serve basis. There may be no more than (1) vehicle per private room and no more than (1) vehicle per every (2) individuals on the same reservation staying in shared accommodations. Please contact the hotel directly if you’re bringing a large vehicle and/or trailer so we can make arrangements for you in advance. If you arrive to a full lot, please utilize our port cochere when checking in to unload and ask our front desk team members for alternative options.

Pets

Dog-friendly rooms are available upon request, though they are limited and subject to availability. Advance reservations are required by guests traveling with dogs by contacting the hotel directly prior to booking. All dogs must be registered at the front desk upon arrival. There is a $50 dog fee per pet per stay (2 dogs maximum). Guests keeping unregistered pets will be charged a $300.00 cleaning fee and may be asked to leave the premises, thereby forfeiting all prepaid costs.
Dogs are not permitted to be left unattended in our rooms. If pets are found left unattended in a room, or a complaint from other guests is received, a minimum of a $100 fee will be added to the reservation.
While Emotional Support Animals or Comfort Animals are often used as part of a medical treatment plan as therapy animals, they are not considered service animals under the ADA and will be subject to our pet fee.

Smoking and Alcohol

The Block Hotel & Commons is a completely non-smoking property. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all rooms and common areas. An additional $300 cleaning fee will automatically be charged to any guest caught smoking on property. The public smoking area is in the parking lot near the trash enclosure. You must be 21 years of age to drink alcohol on property. Consumption of outside alcohol on the property is prohibited.

Quiet Hours & Events

Hotel quiet hours are from 11 PM – 7 AM in common areas and 8 PM – 8 AM in rooms. Certain common areas and amenities of The Block Hotel & Commons may be closed at various times for private events with restricted access for guests.

Locker Policy & Storage of Valuables

Shared dorm rooms offer (1) in room locker per person on a first come first serve basis. Both indoor & outdoor gear storage is also available behind the front desk on the main floor. All lockers are property of The Block Hotel & Commons. At no time does the property relinquish its exclusive control of lockers which are assigned to its guests for convenience and temporary use. Guests are responsible for any items placed in the lockers and The Block Hotel & Commons will not be responsible for the loss or damage of goods under any conditions. Items that are, in the opinion of The Block Hotel & Commons, hazardous or could cause a nuisance to the property, team members, or guests may be refused, destroyed or removed at the owner’s expense without the owner being entitled to enforce any claim to the items at any time thereafter. An inspection of the interior of lockers may be conducted by The Block Hotel & Commons, for any reason at any time, without notice, without guest consent, and without a search warrant. The personal possessions of guests within The Block Hotel & Commons lockers may be searched when reasonable suspicion that the search will uncover evidence of a violation of state law, federal law or property policy. Before the search of a locker, notice of the search will be informed to the guest unless disclosure would impede an investigation. Any material left in a locker after the guest checks-out will be removed and secured by The Block Hotel & Commons. These items will be stored at the Front Desk for up to 7 days, after which all unclaimed items will become property of The Block Hotel & Commons. Additionally, The Block Hotel & Commons maintains a safe where money, jewelry, documents, or other small valuables may be deposited during a guest stay.
